Takaaki Shibata's album features a wide range of original works, from 18th century Italian composer G. Leone to contemporary works. The 18th century mandolin and modern musical instruments are used properly to bring out the charm of each. A duo together with Takeshi Yoshida (period instrument mandolin) is also attractive. Evaluated as Special Edition by a famous Japanese music magazine "Record Art" (April 2011). "Sonata for Mandolin Solo" is included.

Live recording of "Chiaki Masukawa Mandolin Recital vol.3" performed in 2007. Most of the works have mandolin and guitar written on an equal footing, giving the atmosphere of a duo concert of mandolin and guitar. Contains "Asterisk" for mandolins and guitar. Kim's guitar is also very nice.

Peter Hoch, Heinrich Konietzny, Yasuo Kuwahara and other works that are globally important and technically difficult are included in this CD. She plays them with vivid technique and rich musicality. Contains "Sonata for Mandolin Solo". She played this piece in the European mandolin Award 2007 and won the first prize.
